2008 Events Calendar Please mark your calendar with these important dates.
Regular monthly board meetings on the second Monday of each month--to be held at different churches as announced.
WORK SCHEDULE
There is still painting to be done on the Habitat house. My approach would be to get a 5 gallon bucket of paint. Insert one large Firecracker. Light Firecracker. Run like crazy.
B O O M ! Job done.
Unfortunitaly, the Board of Directors would not approve this plan so we will all meet at 8:30am Saturday for a painting party at 1202 E. Beech. Thats one block west of Atkinson and one block south of Hobbs. Hope to see you Saturday, without the B O O M.

Board President, Bob Williams announced that we had received a Grant from Xcel Energy for $5,000, designated for the Ruiz family house. He called for the establishment of our Nominating Committee, members of which will be Patty McClelland (as Past-President), Mike Puckett, and Bob Pottle.
COMMITTEE NOTES
Building – At the time of our meeting, painting of walls and window trim needed to be done, as well connecting to the electrical pole. Such has happened since our Board met, and the front porch structure has been finished.
Church Relations – Chairperson, the Rev. Stephanie Harmon, and Bob Williams scheduled a time to consider planning toward involvement of our churches in our program.
Family Support – Chairperson Patty McClelland – the Board did plan to have our Habitat Family Picnic on Saturday, September 20, but discovered the place where we planned to have it was not available; President Bob Williams called for its cancellation, and this will be discussed further at our November Planning time.
